Abstract

Indonesia has a diversity of medicinal plants and local people use medicinal plants for various diseases. One of the most commonly found medicinal plants is a plant from the Asteraceae family. One of the Astraceae family plants is kirinyuh (C. odorata). Kirinyuh leaf (C. odorata) is a plant that can be used as a wound medicine without swelling because it contains flavonoid compounds, alkaloids, tannins and saponins that can help the wound healing process. This study aims to determine how the results of the evaluation of the cream preparation of kirinyuh leaf extract (C. odorata) as wound medicine. This study used an experimental method consisting of three formulations. The cream formula consisted of 5%, 10%, and 15% ethanol extract of kirinyuh leaf (C. odorata) as the active ingredient. Formulation for organoleptic, homogeneity, pH, spreadability, and temperature. the results of observational data, it can be seen that the difference in the concentration of the ethanol extract of kirinyuh leaf as an active substance that affects the evaluation test parameters includes organoleptic tests, pH, dispersion tests, and tests based on temperature, but all formulas that meet the evaluation requirements of each test can be formulated in preparations cream as a wound medicine.
