Abstract

The pattern of antibiotic use in patients with diabetes mellitus type 2 gangrene is a group of drugs that are most often used for infectious diseases. Improper use of antibiotics can lead to therapeutic failure and various problems such as: non-curable disease, resistance, increased drug side effects and the emergence of supra- infection. Diabetes Mellitus is a disease characterized by hyperglycemia and impaired metabolism of carbohydrates, fats, and proteins associated with absolute or relative deficiency of insulin action and/or secretion. According to the International Diabetes Federation (IDF) estimating the number of people with diabetes in Indonesia to reach 28.57 million in 2045, this number is 47% greater than the number 19.47 million in 2021. The number of people with diabetes in 2021 has increased rapidly in ten years Lastly, people with diabetes were recorded at 167% compared to the number of people with diabetes in 2011 which reached 7.29 million.
