Abstract

Constipation is a decrease in the frequency of defecation, which is followed by the release of stool that is long or hard and dry, resulting in decreased intestinal muscle tone during labor and early postpartum, diarrhea before delivery, lack of food with fiber, dehydration, hemorrhoids, or laceration of the birth canal. Apart from that, difficulty defecating (constipation) may be a problem in the early postpartum period due to a lack of fiber consumption before delivery. This Final Project report is case-based with continuous care in Continuity Of Care and documented using SOAP management where this care is applied to Mrs "E" GI P0000 A000, UK 38 weeks, alive, single, head position, intrauterine, general condition of the mother and fetus is good.
