Abstract

During pregnancy, it is possible for pregnant women to experience several problems one of which is an infection that originally occurred due to premature or premature rupture of the membranes rupture of membrane (PROM) that takes a long time to be treated by health workers, The longer the interval between rupture of membranes and delivery, the higher the rate risk of maternal and fetal morbidity and mortality. Meanwhile, women who have given birth some times have a higher risk of premature rupture of membranes due to connective tissue The amniotic membrane is easily fragile because the vascularization of the uterus experiences several disorders which ultimately results in spontaneous rupture of the amniotic membrane. According to World Health Organization (WHO 2020) the incidence of premature rupture of membranes in the world is 50-60%, and The incidence of premature rupture of membranes in Indonesia ranges from 4.5% to 7.6%. Premature rupture of membranes occurs in 6-19% of pregnancies. The incidence of premature rupture of membranes ranges from 8-10% in term or term pregnancy, while preterm pregnancy occurs in 1% pregnancy.
