TINGKAT PENGETAHUAN MASYARAKAT TERHADAP SWAMEDIKASI DEMAM DI KELURAHAN GUNUNG SEKAR KECAMATAN SAMPANG KABUPATEN SAMPANG

Abstract

Self-medication is a community effort to choose and use medicines to treat complaints of minor ailments suffered safely and rationally. Fever is a condition where the body temperature is higher than usual or above 37℃. This study aims to evaluate the level of public knowledge regarding self-medication for fever. The type of research used is purposive sampling, namely taking samples using total sampling. The research sample was 100 people from the Gunung Sekar Village, Sampang District. Data was collected through a questionnaire which aims to determine the level of community knowledge regarding self-medication in Gunung Sekar Village, Sampang. The validity test results obtained valid results because the value obtained was >0.361 which is the r table, and for the reliability test the results were reliable because the results obtained were >0.6, namely 0.753. The results of the study showed that the level of public knowledge obtained a score of 81.3%. This value indicates that the level of knowledge about fever self-medication is good. Education still needs to be provided to several communities in Gunung Sekar sub-district regarding correct self-medication so that people can be more optimal in knowing information about the drugs they use.
