TINGKAT PENGETAHUAN ORANG TUA TENTANG SWAMEDIKASI DEMAM PADA ANAK 1-12 TAHUN MENGGUNAKAN OBAT PARASETAMOL DI DESA TAPAAN KECAMATAN BANYUATES KABUPATEN SAMPANG

Abstract

Fever is a sign that the body is fighting infection or bacteria in the body. Fever is also usually a sign that the child's immune system is functioning well. Treating fever in children at home is very important in looking after and caring for sick children. because the results of the child's recovery are very influential. Parents will do many things to help their children recover. The aim is to determine the level of knowledge of parents about the use of self-medicated paracetamol to treat fever in children in Tapaan District, Banyuates, Sampang Regency. Method: The research used in this research is a descriptive method by taking data from a questionnaire with a sample size of 100 respondents. Results: The results of the research showed that 36% in Tapaan Village, Banyuates District, Sampang Regency had a level of knowledge in self-medication for fever in children in the good category. 63% are in the sufficient category. And 2% of the level of knowledge in self-medication for fever in children in Tapaan Village, Banyuates District, Sampang Regency is in the poor category. Conclusion: So it can be interpreted that the level of parental knowledge regarding self-medication for fever in children 1-12 years using paracetamol in Tapaan Village, Banyuates District, Sampang Regency is in the sufficient category (63%).
