Midwifery Care Management, Premature Rupture of MembranesAbstract
Labor is the birth of a baby which ends with the birth of the placenta. Childbirth is a physiological event that occurs in life but can also be pathological. The reality in the field is that many pregnant women experience premature rupture of membranes (PROM), the incidence of premature rupture of membranes is a complication of pregnancy, 10% of term pregnancies and 4% of preterm pregnancies. Based on the results of the Inter-Census Population Survey (SUPAS), KPD cases in 2016 increased by 24%, while in 2017 it was 36%.
Research Applying and obtaining an overview of Midwifery Care Management in women giving birth with PROM carried out on Mrs. “M” GVIP3103A100, 34 years, 37 weeks pregnant, single live intrauterine fetus, right back position of V head with premature rupture of membranes (PROM) and treated actively, the mother's condition is quite good, blood pressure 120/80 mmHg, 84x/minute, body temperature 36.50 C, respiration 24x/minute.
The case study approach to midwifery care management consists of Varney's seven steps, namely: data collection, interpretation of basic data, potential diagnosis, immediate action, planning, implementation and evaluation.
According to the results of this study, mothers giving birth with premature rupture of membranes can be treated with maximum care by the cooperation of health workers. From the development notes, it can be seen that the mother gave birth (Multigravida) with a case of premature rupture of membranes so that previously the leaking fluid had the potential for infection. In providing midwifery care to pregnant women, they should be able to improve skills and good intellectual abilities regarding the care of pregnant women to prevent premature rupture of membranes which can cause maternal and infant mortality.
