PROFIL ANTIBIOTIK PADA PERESEPAN OBAT PASIEN COVID-19 DI APOTEK CAHAYA KOTA

Pandemic Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19), a disease caused by the Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus-2 (SARS-CoV-2). In a study of 24 studies conducted individually with a total of 3,338 patients with Covid-19 infection, it was found that 71.9% of patients with Covid-19 infection received antibiotic therapy. The purpose of this study was to determine the description of antibiotic therapy in drug prescribing for Covid-19 patients at the Cahaya Pharmacy, Bandar Lampung City, including dose suitability, therapy duration suitability, and potential interactions. The type of research used is an observational descriptive study carried out retrospectively through archived data on Covid-19 patient prescriptions of 524 prescriptions/patients with a Covid-19 diagnosis who received prescriptions from doctors at the Cahaya Pharmacy during the period March 2020 to February 2021. The results showed that the patients who were most exposed to Covid-19 and received antibiotic therapy were male (66.7%) and aged >65 years (25.33%). The most widely used antibiotic in prescribing is Azithromycin, which belongs to the macrolide group (45.67%) and no combination of antibiotics was found and no antibiotic or non-antibiotic drug interactions were found in the doctor's prescription at the Cahaya Pharmacy, Bandar Lampung City. The administration of the dose and duration of antibiotic therapy for Covid-19 patients at the Cahaya Pharmacy in Bandar Lampung City is in accordance with the Covid-19 Management Guidelines, namely the BPOM Informatorium for Covid-19 Drugs in Indonesia Edition 3 in 2021 and PAPDI Guidelines for the Management of Covid-19 Edition 3 in 2020 .
