PENINGKATAN KESADARAN PETANI TERHADAP PEMANFAATAN REBUNG BAMBU SEBAGAI ALTERNATIF ZPT ORGANIK DI DESA DUKO TIMUR

Abstrak

Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilaksanakan sebagai upaya mendukung pertanian berkelanjutan melalui penerapan teknologi tepat guna berbasis pemanfaatan Zat Pengatur Tumbuh (ZPT) organik dari rebung bambu. Latar belakang kegiatan ini berangkat dari permasalahan yang dihadapi petani Desa Duko Timur, Kabupaten Pamekasan, seperti menurunnya produktivitas lahan, ketergantungan pada pupuk dan ZPT sintetis, serta terbatasnya akses inovasi teknologi. Rebung bambu dipilih karena ketersediaannya yang melimpah dan potensinya sebagai sumber ZPT alami yang murah, ramah lingkungan, dan efektif meningkatkan pertumbuhan tanaman. Metode pengabdian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan melibatkan peserta Kuliah Kerja Nyata Tematik (KKN-T), kelompok tani, perangkat desa, dan masyarakat sekitar. Kegiatan dilaksanakan selama 1–31 Juli 2025 di Dusun Dajaoro dan meliputi tiga tahap: persiapan (sosialisasi dan pengumpulan bahan), pelaksanaan (penyuluhan dan praktik pembuatan ZPT), serta monitoring dan evaluasi (pemantauan fermentasi dan respon tanaman). Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan pengetahuan petani yang tercermin dari perbandingan nilai pretest dan posttest, dari rata-rata 2 menjadi 8. Petani juga mulai memproduksi dan mengaplikasikan ZPT rebung bambu secara mandiri, mengurangi penggunaan ZPT sintetis, serta memanfaatkan sumber daya lokal yang sebelumnya belum optimal. Kegiatan ini tidak hanya meningkatkan keterampilan teknis petani, tetapi juga mendorong kemandirian, efisiensi biaya, dan penerapan pertanian ramah lingkungan. Dengan demikian, pemanfaatan ZPT organik dari rebung bambu terbukti menjadi inovasi tepat guna yang relevan, terjangkau, dan berkelanjutan bagi petani pedesaan.
